22Talk

22Talk on Facebook

December 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment

22Talk — ‘the website’ — has now been replaced with 22Talk on Facebook, a Facebook app allowing you to chat with random Facebook users. The concept is exactly the same as before, but it was decided that embedding the service within a huge social networking site could only offer benefits. You can read more about this change at Infinity-Infinity:

If you find someone you like, you can now add them as a friend for life! (You can also go completely Anonymous, if you prefer).

The app is brand new (not in the directory yet). At the moment, you could be waiting a while for a stranger to come along — but please do wait. Please tell all of your Facebook friends to try it out, blog about this, and let’s see whether we can get enough users to get 22Talk rolling.

Merry Christmas!

22Talk

So, 22Talk has been completed and launched (03 May ‘09 at ~23.30 GMT). Since we did not publicise this launch in any way, it was no surprise that no-one came to the site. Submitting the service to StumbleUpon and buying up some high-volume ad units ensured we at least got a few people talking.

Overall, everything has been fine. The main problem now is getting people on to the site. Please tell your friends about 22Talk and how cool it is. Why not Digg-it, StumbleUpon-it or email it?

If you like the service, you can also get it straight from your iGoogle page: Add to Google

If you have any ideas, criticisms or other message, just leave a comment here.
